Common BFT gate faults
- Gate not opening: often a power, fuse, release or control board issue rather than a dead motor.
- Photocell faults: misaligned, dirty or damaged photocells stop the gate closing or make it reverse.
- Remote handsets: handsets that have lost their coding or need replacing and pairing.
- Control board faults: water ingress, surge damage or settings lost after a power cut.
- Motor or arm wear: worn gears in Deimos or Ares sliding motors, or tired arms on Igea and Virgo swing motors.
- Safety edges: damaged or disconnected edges that leave the gate stuck.

To keep a BFT gate running well, have it serviced at least every six months. Out-of-hours emergency call-outs are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Extra charges apply outside normal hours.
